Multiple people were shot at about 7:45 p.m. on May 4 at a business on the edge of historic downtown Glendale, police said.
About nine people were shot, and more than one person was shooting, a Glendale police spokesperson said at a news briefing just after 9 p.m.
The shooting occurred at a seafood and steakhouse restaurant at North 57th Drive and West Lamar Road, police said.
Multiple people were being detained, and the investigation at the scene was expected to go into the daylight hours, police said.
There did not appear to be a threat to the public, police said.
