As reported on News Center 7 at 11:00, Beavercreek police responded to a home along Torrey Pines for an “armed, barricaded” person alone inside a relative’s house, according to a social media post from the department.
Molnar later specified and said the individual showed up at a relative’s house uninvited and was possibly suicidal.

“Prior to our arrival, there was no immediate danger to anyone in the neighborhood or the residence,” Molnar said.
News Center 7’s Malik Patterson saw the Huber Heights Regional Emergency Response Team and SWAT arrive in the neighborhood after 9 p.m.
Molnar told News Center 7 that authorities took their time and utilized negotiators to get the person to come outside.
Authorities eventually secured the weapon involved, according to Molnar.
“He may be charged with crime. We’re still evaluating that. We’ll move forward once we make sure we get him some help,” Molnar said.
After the person came outside, he got inside a pickup truck and took off.
News Center 7 watched as the person involved got into a pickup truck and drove away. It is unclear why the suspect was not in custody.
Deji Badiru has lived in the neighborhood for 11 years and said he has never seen anything like this.
“Nobody can get into the neighborhood at all, and that’s very upsetting, because we have people with family at home,” Badiru said.
He said his house is close to this incident, and his family is inside.
“We are two houses from that house where they have the operation,” Badiru said.
Badiru said he’s worried for his neighbors stuck inside their homes.
“We have older residents who may need care and attention urgently, and nobody can get you there at this time,” he said.
The incident remains under investigation.
