Three people were sent to the hospital Saturday after a crash at County Road 17 and County Road 3 in Stearns County, west of Holdingford.
Authorities were sent to the accident at roughly 12:45 p.m. on May 3, according to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office. It reportedly was a T-bone-style crash with one vehicle on its roof while the other was in the intersection’s northwest ditch.

An 18-year-old from Holdingford was reportedly driving northbound on County Road 3 when a 33-year-old Melrose man who was driving a pickup truck struck the young driver’s car on the passenger side, according to the Stearns County release. The 18-year-old was driving a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta while the Melrose man drove a 2017 Dodge Ram.
The 18-year-old was transported to the hospital by Life Link helicopter, according to the release. Two others were driven to the hospital via Mayo Ambulance while another was transported by “a private party,” the release stated.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, Holdingford Fire Department, Mayo Ambulance, Life Link helicopter, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and the Minnesota State Patrol responded to the accident.
According to the release, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.
Nineteen crashes have taken place in Stearns County so far this month, according to state data.
