Police arrested a Brockton man in connection to a stabbing incident inside a West Bridgewater home on Thursday, May 8, the East Bridgewater Police Department announced in a press release.
Mario Raul Babbs, 38, of Brockton, was arrested Thursday, May 8, and charged with attempted murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery, according to police.
The West Bridgewater Police Department said they responded to a home on Spring Street at approximately 11 p.m. Thursday after receiving reports of a man severely bleeding from the neck.
Upon arrival, officers located a 36-year-old man from East Bridgewater who had been stabbed several times in the head and neck area.

The victim was transported to Boston Medical Center’s Brockton location in unknown condition.
What happened inside house?
According to police, the altercation occurred inside the Spring Street home during a gathering between people who were known to one another.
During the gathering, Babbs allegedly forced his way inside a bedroom and stabbed the victim several times. He fled the scene to a nearby wooded area, where he was eventually located, according to police.
Babbs was transported to a nearby hospital and later booked by the West Bridgewater Police Department. He is scheduled for arraignment Friday, May 9, in Brockton District Court.
