Florida doesn’t need a second Gov. DeSantis
Do we need another DeSantis as governor of Florida and, along with that, more talk of “woke indoctrination”?
Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis speaks during a press conference at Pensacola State College in Pensacola, Florida on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
For one, I am not sure what “woke” actually means.
The wife of Gov. Ron DeSantis – first lady Casey DeSantis – is considering a run for governor to succeed her husband, who will finish his second term in 2026.
As an independent, I want to see Florida return to the sane, unbiased governing of former Gov. Jeb Bush (who, among other things, eliminated the intangible tax in Florida).
One more DeSantis as governor – with all the baggage that goes with it – is too much to take.
