A 47-year-old Elk River man was sent to Mercy Hospital Friday evening.
The Minnesota State Patrol responded to a motorcycle accident shortly before 8 p.m. May 9 at Minnesota Highway 169 near milepost 162 in Elk River, according to a release. The motorcyclist was driving south.

Elk River fire and ambulance services assisted at the scene, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report.

The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet and was reportedly taken to Mercy Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, the MSP report states.
No other vehicles or persons were involved in the accident.
