“However, in recent days, the American side has begun sending various messages through different intermediaries, messages being conveyed through our friendly countries, and us responding by stating our positions or issuing the necessary warnings, is not called negotiation or dialogue, it is simply an exchange of messages through our friends.”
Trump, speaking at a Cabinet meeting Thursday, said Iran is pushing to make a deal.
“They’re begging to make a deal, and anybody that saw what was happening over there would understand why they want to make a deal,” he said.
Israel said Friday it had struck an Iranian missile and sea mine production facility used for “planning, development, assembly, and storage of advanced missiles” targeting maritime infrastructure.

The Israeli military also said it killed IRGC Navy Commander Alireza Tangsiri in a strike Thursday. According to the IDF, Tangsiri played a central role in efforts to disrupt shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, which has remained closed since the war began, driving volatility in energy markets. Iran has yet to confirm the death of the commander.
