LANSING — Police have identified a man killed in a shooting in Lansing on June 8 as Marvin High Jr., 58.
The shooting happened about 5:38 p.m. Sunday in the 3300 block of Bardaville Street, off North Grand River Avenue and east of Waverly Road, police said. High, whose name was released by Lansing police on Monday afternoon, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests had been made. Police said they did not believe the shooting was a random incident.
In a June 9 news release, Lansing Police Public Information Director Jordan Gulkis noted that High’s age initially was reported by police as 59. His correct age is 58, she said.
