MIAMI (AP) — South Florida deputies found three people wounded Thursday after responding to reports of a shooting at a warehouse area, officials said.
Miami-Dade Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz said during a news conference that all three wounded people were taken to a local hospital, and one of the wounded appears to be the shooter.
“We want the community to know that there is no imminent threat,” Cordero-Stutz said.
News footage showed dozens of deputies from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office surrounding Priced Right Motors Inc., a used car dealership several miles southwest of downtown Miami. A SWAT team, fire rescue workers and Florida Highway Patrol troopers also responded.
Deputies will continue to search the area for other possible victims, Cordero-Stutz said. Officials didn’t immediately name the victims or the shooter or provide information about their conditions.
